Tagbilaran City

Last June 5, 2024, Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap outlined her vision for transforming the city into a sustainable, resilient, and innovative community at the Liveable Cities LocalLa. She emphasized economic growth, digitalization, and streamlining the business registration process to enhance opportunities. Yap highlighted the importance of ICT as a significant economic driver for Tagbilaran.

The event featured notable speakers such as Marietta Gasatan of the Bohol Chamber of Commerce, Jovencia Ganub, Provincial Environment Management Officer of Bohol Province, Engr. Ceidge Razon of BEST Inc., and Patrick Gloria of Globe.

Organized by Liveable Cities Philippines in partnership with USAID Urban Connect, the event aimed to promote resilient and inclusive economic growth. The USAID Urban Connect project supports such growth in Tagbilaran and other secondary cities through various initiatives over five years, fostering engagement and the formation of new partnerships.
